Jennifer Ocaña Barnes is an accomplished healthcare executive with over fifteen years’ experience in strategic planning, business development, and operations. Her broad skill-set empowers her to both collaborate with business segment experts and independently analyze and assess complex scenarios to achieve customized business solutions.
Jennifer founded J & J Advisory, Inc. to leverage her professional experience and network in helping clients achieve business objectives. Her career in healthcare includes positions with Bristol Myers Squibb, ConvaTec’s US Sales and Marketing Group, where she acquired expertise in wound therapeutics, ostomy care, and continence devices. In 2007, Jennifer moved from Washington, DC to Miami, Florida to join VITAS Healthcare's Executive Management team in the role of Vice President, reporting directly to the CEO. Her talent is successfully driving change across departments to resolve business issues, grow revenues, and achieve organizational cost-savings.
Jennifer has been a City of Miami community activist since moving to South Florida. She presently serves as a Board Member to Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida, Vice Chair for the City of Miami Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board (PZAB), and is a Volunteer Advocate for Cochlear Americas. Jennifer has been active with Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida as a Wish Granter, Wish Adopter, and Corporate Sponsor since 2007. Previously, she was the President of Shorecrest Homeowners Association, Chairperson for Citizens’ Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County, and Board Member for the Dade-Miami Criminal Justice Council.
Jennifer obtained her BA from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and MA from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. In addition, Jennifer holds certifications from Cornell University in Strategic Human Resources Management and Executive Leadership and earned a Master Six Sigma certificate from Villanova University.

Jack is a proven executive, consultant, and analyst whose focus on results consistent with clients’ immediate objectives and underlying values sets him apart. A powerful advocate for clear communication, Jack manages expectations at each engagement phase.
A Fulbright alumnus, Jack holds dual summa cum laude degrees in Economics and Spanish from The University of Arizona and earned his International MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
Jack’s diverse career spans healthcare, technology, law enforcement, and international product management, from start-up companies to industry-leading, publicly-traded corporations. Common to all professional experience is defining goals and establishing procedural steps and timelines consistent with budget and resource availability.
A former Vice President and member of VITAS Healthcare’s Executive Management team, Jack prioritizes active community involvement. He is currently a IE US Fund Board Member, Volunteer Advocate for Cochlear Americas, and supporter of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida. Past affiliations include leadership roles with the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Toastmasters International.
